WebJan 10, 2011 · Unscrew the inner tube's valve cap. Push the pump head onto the inner tube valve. Turn the selector dial on the pump to either the Schrader or Presta valve setting. Flip the pump lever back down to lock the pump onto the valve. Pull the pump handle out from the barrel, then pull and push the handle to pump the inner tube full of air. I got the Blackburn 4 a few weeks ago after the old pump's gauge finally broke. The 4 works fine too. The Blackburn 4 works a bit more smoothly and has a sturdy base.
