WebSo now energy weapons or even most grenades, and of course no power armor. So a water wheel for power is very helpful for a vendor as it is quite and does better than a small generator. That being said i did go modern and add 2 water purifiers to use some of the power budget. It was in one of the atom shops bundles when I got mine.

WebJust west of the food processing farm there is a junk node right on the river. Camp there and you can build water processors in the river and an extractor on the junk node. Its a popular spot so it may limit your server access. One of my alts is on it and it can take a couple tries to join games without moving the camp. Purified water is more difficult, but even a small purifier (which can hold a maximum of two) can provide more than enough if you collect it regularly while crafting.
