WebThis report describes a case of patient with hemobilia that had been diagnosed 49 days after accidental hepatic trauma and twice perihepatic packing. A 29-year old man with hematemesis melena came to the hospital with the history of hepatic accidental trauma and had already received twice perihepatic packing treatment. WebOverall, 200 (9%) patients developed an SPHC, the majority non-bilious (75.5%) and infected (54%). Major hepatic resections, larger than median blood loss (≥360 ml), use of surgical drains, and simultaneous performance of a colorectal procedure were associated with an SPHC on multivariate analysis.
